Bandon 3 : Church of Ireland 3

Bandon went ahead with a goal from Ruth Corcoran.  Church of Ireland bounced back a few minutes later.  Rachelle Nyhan struck a free hit towards goal and once again Ruth Corcoran was in the right place and scored her second.  After half time, Church of Ireland scored an equaliser.  Bandon were determined and Rachelle Nyhan scored a very well deserved goal.  Bandon had many opportunities to go further ahead with some very good moves from Deirdre Clarke and Cira Lynch working very well together.  Mary Essex at right back also had a great game.  C of I were not going to be beaten and scored an equaliser in the dying minutes of the game.

Div. 5, 7th Oct. 

Bandon 4 : Belvedere 0

Bandon ladies 4ths played in BGS against a very tough  Belvedere team in the 5th division.   Bandon did not disappoint.  Aoife Murphy put the home side ahead with a well earned goal.  The score was 1-0 at half time and Belvedere always looked as if they would score.  Bandon ladies battled on and gained in confidence with a wonderfully struck corner from Liz Buttimer.  Next Ruth Corcoran scored as she slipped the ball passed the keeper.  The goal of the match came from Stephanie Peters as she cut through three Belvedere players striking the ball from the edge of the circle almost blowing a hole through the net.  Bandon win 4 - 0.

Div. 5, 30th Sept. 

Harlequins 0 : Bandon 3 

Today saw the 2nd match of the season for the Bandon 5th division side.  After a very disappointing trip to Limerick last week losing to Limerick Hockey club by 3 goals to l,  Bandon ladies travelled to Harlequins and won by 3 goals to 0.  Bandon played very well with goals coming from Rachelle Nyhan, Deirdre Clarke and Stephanie Peters.
