Cup Success for Ladies 3rds!

Congratulations to Ernie, Laura and all the Ladies 3rds on their 2-1 win in the Division 4 Cup Final against U.L. in Rosbrien today.

Final Number 3

With both the Mens and Ladies 1sts falling at the final hurdle, hopefully it will be a case of third time lucky for the club as the Ladies thirds take on U.L. in the Division 4 Cup Final on Sunday at 12.15pm in Rosbrien. After defeating Waterford on penalty strokes in the semi-final they should hopefully feel well prepared and we would like to wish Ernie and the girls the very best of luck.

Senior Cup Finals

Best of luck to both the Mens and Ladies 1sts tomorrow in their Munster Senior Cup Finals. The Ladies play UCC at 1.30pm and the Men play Harlequins at 3.30pm. Both games are in Garyduff and support would obviously be much appreciated so see you there!!

Another final to look forward to and so nearly two more..

Congratulations to the Ladies 3rds on becoming the latest team in the club to book a place in a cup final. After making the trip to Waterford it took strokes to separate the sides but thankfully Bandon held their nerve and won the shoot-out.

It also took strokes to separate the Mens 2nds and C. of I. 2nds but unfortunately it wasn't to be this time. After the 1sts only managed a draw against the same team on Saturday on paper it should have been an easy win for C. of I. Bandon had other thoughts though and even after going a goal down in the first half they fought back and scored two goals in the space of three minutes mid-way through the second half to put them in the lead. After that the spirited performance continued but with only seconds on the clock C. of I. managed to sneak an equaliser. With no goals in extra time the game went to penalty strokes and after five strokes the sides were still tied on a score of 4-4. Unfortunately, however, victory was not be with C. of I. eventually winning in the second round of sudden death.

Double Header vs C. of I. Mens 2nds

This weekend will see C. of I. 2nds travel to Bandon on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday they will take on the 1sts in the league and on Sunday it will be the turn of the 2nds in the semi-final of the Munster Junior Cup. With both the mens and ladies 1sts already in respective Senior Cup finals the 2nds will be very keen to follow suit. The game is on Sunday at 4.00pm and support, as always, would be very welcome.

Best of luck too to the ladies 3rds who travel to Waterford for the Division 4 cup semi-final.

Congratulations to the Ladies 1sts on their historic win!

They had come very close of late, but finally they did it! Well done to Eddie and the girls for finally taking down Quins and booking their place in the Munster Senior Cup final on St Patrick's day.

And just to make sure the day really went down in history...

...The Fun Fashion Extravaganza was held on Saturday evening and the high for the club certainly continued. It was a fantastic evening and it definitely was a lot of fun. A huge congratulations must go to the Liz Buttimer and her team for organising such a successful event. Well done too to Ricky and Pamela and all the models and thank you to everyone for their tremendous support. Check out the photos from the night here.

Welcome to the brand new Bandon Hockey Club Website

It's not quite finished yet as you will see but I thought it would be good to at least get the main structure up here and then go from there. All comments and suggestions (as long as they're not too bad!!!) will be gratefully accepted.
